How Do You Define Child Abduction?

October 22, 2020 Off By Glespynorson

Basically, whenever a person moves a child who is under the legal adult age from one place to another without the consent of a legal guardian or a parent it is considered child abduction. The laws regarding this are strict. Kids are young and they can’t make decisions for themselves so it is up to the courts to protect them from people who do not have their best interests in mind. Whether the intentions are innocent, or evil, it can still be understood as kidnapping.

How To Stop Child Abductions

Child abductions happen all of the time. Most times it is not from a stranger that wants to bad things to them, it is because a family member wants to control a situation. Sometimes the parents of a child get into a huge dispute about something, and one of them takes the child somewhere. Sometimes a child will be taken away from a parent to protect it. In any case, there is not much anybody can do when it comes to family matters, but when it comes to weirdos abducting kids we all can do our part. One way to seriously cut down on child abductions is to keep an eye out at all times when we are around kids. Watch out for strangers, or even people that we are familiar with that act funny. Listen to what kids say when they talk about the funny man or kooky person that offered them candy earlier. Pay attention and know the facts.

Child Abduction Dangers

As disgusting as it is, there are more sinister reasons for people to abduct children. Some people are sick and want to play out pedophiliac fantasies with kids. Other people want to sell them to third parties in order to make money from them. Others want to exploit the children in selfish ways in order to profit from them. Still, others want to kidnap them and see if they can get a ransom from the parents or guardians. In any event, when somebody uses a child for financial gain it is rotten. When somebody uses children for sexual purposes, it is unforgivable. The one thing we can all do in order to make sure things like this don’t happen is to be aware and watch out for dangers. Many times, just knowing the truth can save a life.
